Happy Birthday, Selena!
Selena Quintanilla was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson, Texas, the youngest daughter of Abraham and Marcella Quintanilla.
Known by her fans as “La Reina,” meaning the “The Queen,” Selena remains a vital figure in the Mexican community. 17 years after her death, her music and public image is still very much alive.
Selena was tragically killed on March 31, 1995. Today would have been her 41st birthday.
